Coming to terms with God’s timing for your Christian dating relationship

christian dating As time goes by, especially as we get older, it gets more difficult to wait on God, especially when you are waiting for a Christian dating relationship in your life that is meaningful and is going to materialise into a real love relationship and culminate in a blessed marriage.

Things don’t always happen as we expect them to but that doesn’t mean that it is not meant to be. Oftentimes we give up hope by God is faithful and He grants us the desires of our hearts. If you believe that you should be in a loving marriage, then hold on to that hope until you see it come to fruition.

There are many biblical accounts where the people of God waited until it was thought that all hope was lost and yet their dreams were fulfilled. Abraham and Sarah had a child, Joseph was remembered and elevated to a position of power, Moses rescued the Israelites from the Egyptians and led them to the promised land. All these people of God had just about given up hope and yet their innermost desires were given to them in the end.

There is an appointed time for everything, including meeting the right person, and getting married. Keep serving God and obeying Him in all you do and you will find that He will grant you the desires of your heart. While some people may wait for a long time, others may not seem to wait at all. It is not for us to know why these things come to pass in this way but it could just be that God is busy fighting for your relationship right now.

Your potential partner may be facing a trial or a test that he is battling with and he can’t meet you until he has dealt with an issue in his or her life. All the more reason to pray for your potential spouse even now while you do not know his or her name, what he or she looks like or when you will meet them. God will hear your prayers and will intervene.

Seek God’s kingdom first, and ensure that you are in a right relationship with God. By making holy living your priority, you will have all the things that you are hoping and desiring for added to you as a by-product. Remember always that God is faithful. If He were not faithful, He would not be true to Himself and since that is impossible, He has to be faithful.

Unless you feel a call to singleness, and God’s peace is upon you concerning a life without marriage, the desire you feel to connect with and spend your life with another person will be honoured.
