Single Christian Women are usually very nervous on their first dates. If you are one of them, don’t worry as most people, Christian or not, feel the same way and chances are, that your date will be feeling the same way too. First dates are very important and preparation is necessary. You need to get the most out of your date so you need to be prepared for that. The question that will probably bother you would be, “So how do I prepare for my first date?”
Here are a few things you should keep in mind.
Single Christian women should not make the mistake of not being upfront about their Christian views. You should remember that your shared belief has brought both of you together. Being open about your beliefs will give both of you an opportunity to part bad from the good. This will also create an atmosphere of comfort. Even within Christianity, there are several sets of belief that people choose from. If both of you have beliefs that differ largely, you might not want to go on a second date.
The Bible says, “Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be full of gravel.” (Proverbs 20:17) Single Christian women should also be generally honest on a date about other things, like who they are? What their past was like? Or what their lives are like? Do not reveal too much but make sure whatever you say is pure truth.
2. Take it slow
For Single Christian women, marriage is usually at the front of the mind when they start dating someone. Coming out too strongly about marriage on the very first date might scare your partner so it is better to avoid talking about such things. Marriage is commitment, and you are only getting to know your partner on the first date.
Also, do not be too hasty and try to use this first date to get to know each other better. Try to find out whether or not your partner has the traits you are looking for in a guy. Ask questions but not too much, because your partner is as nervous as you are and too many questions might scare him a little.
